The sad case of Gerald Barton has more

than one nexus to the infamous Donald Marshall,

Jr. affair.

Gerald, who is black, was 19 in 1969, when

a false rape accusation turned his life upside

down. It was only two years later when Junior

Marshall, a 17-year-old Mi’kmaq boy,

went on his fateful walk through Wentworth
