In the wake of revelations that Bill Spurr was charging restaurants $200 a pop for posting his reviews on their websites, the longtime Herald toiler tells me that he will no longer be continuing the practise. 

“I’ve decided not to seek payment for use of my freelance restaurant reviews after they’ve been published in the Chronicle Herald,” Spurr told me in an email.
