The case was dropped as a result of an RCMP officer violating their Charter rights (guess it counts for something after all — ed.) when following up what was an accidental call to 911.

House arrest for drug-dealing grandpa

A 66-year-old Halifax grandfather has been given a two-year sentence to be served in the community after pleading guilty to two counts of trafficking earlier this year - Wayne Oldham was arrested October 6, 2011 during a series of drug-related arrests police launched.
