I’ve always appreciated the work of veteran CBC reporter Stephen Puddicombe. I don’t know if that sentiment is necessarily reciprocal. I wouldn’t think so.
But I do know Puddicombe, 58, a career CBC guy, assured us he’d give us a heads-up on his long awaited retirement from Mother Corp.

Talk about yer radio daze...!

The saturated Halifax radio market is as cutthroat as it as ever been. Traditional terrestrial radio listeners are finding new ways, new platforms to keep themselves informed and keep themselves entertained.
And, fortunately not have to be entertained by such assinine radio ads as:
l    “Oh, Honey, did you leave the windows open? Honey we’re going to need new windows!”

Frightful news, sir, just frightful. I’m afraid we’ve lost her. Yes, our very favourite country gal, Denyse Sibley, has gone all rock & roll on us.
A longtime fixture at Halifax radio station CHFX 101.9, Denyse has moved up the FM dial from “Today’s Country” to The Wave 89.9, “Halifax’s Greatest Hits.”
