Ross Landry's brother charged with murder

Good news and bad news, sir, from Pictou County.
The bad news is that Joseph Noel Landry, 68, the man charged with the second degree murder of his “longtime friend” Darren Clyde Reid, 52, is the brother of former Nova Scotia justice minister Ross Landry, he a former RCMP officer.
A second brother is Mike Landry, a 35-year vet of the Halifax Police Service.

As these things tend to be it was political theatre at its very finest.
Much of the rhetoric was over-the-top, some of the jokes fell flat. There was no shortage of politicians wearing novelty socks, catchy slogans, funny hats, tee-shirts, Nova Scotia tartan, cowbells, thundersticks.
